New report predicts major growth in NGV fuel use for commercial trucking

According to PIRA Energy Group’s document, adoption of natural gas into both U.S. commercial trucks and all varieties of fleets, with vehicles generally operated by corporations and government agencies, is approaching a significant threshold, which ultimately could lead to enormous natural gas demand growth. In an overall high case scenario, demand would be capable of reaching 14 BCF/D by 2030, what could reduce diesel demand by 2.4 million barrels per day, about two thirds of today’s heavy trucking market.
